I weighed in on Sunday. (Well, I’m weighing myself pretty much every day right now but whatever.) I also measured myself, and either I’m not very accurate (but really, I dare you to try to find my waist right now), or I’ve gained a little girth even while dropping two-ish pounds. I’d show you my stats but it would only prove what a techtard I am.

What the hell.

[ETA: Or, for the done-in-notepad version, go here.]

In my defense, this is my first time using wordpress, and it’s been a while since I translated CSS. Also, for some reason, my host has some settings that add wonky code to old ol’ fashioned html if I just upload some oldschool page. [ETA unless I do some fancy things and use Internet Explorer to flip a switch.]

In any case, I had a good weekend. We went for a long walk on Saturday, in which I and my calves learned why the neighborhood is called “The Heights.” I had some friends over for dinner, and apparently did an ok job balancing my vodka vs. leafy greens ratio, what with the aforementioned weight loss logged the next day. I’m just slowly getting back into the groove. Like V. mentioned to me the other day, I do great when I treat fitness like my profession. When I spend time thinking about it and writing about it and - sometimes, surprisingly even - doing it.

The problem being of course, that I already have a profession that demands about 60 hours a week. And a couple volunteer commitments that ask another 5-6 hours. The last time I trod down this path, I could bike to work (and blog from work), and now that’s not an option. (It could be, maybe, the biking part that is, if my currently-dream-job materializes, which looks half likely, and if I convince the person in charge to hire me. I’m just going to put that out in the universe and leave it at that. C’mon, Universe, get me this job.)

Also, Universe, while I’ve got you on the line, a calorie-free cheese and perfectly shaped eyebrows would be nice, too.

Can (or have) you make up a list of why this person should hire you for the job and present it to him/her. I believe the Universe will help you but sometimes the U needs a little nudge. :-)

Great job on the weight loss and the inches lost. That’s fabulous! I’m glad you are able to have your vodka and leafy greens. I believe in balance.

(Have you tried Cabot 75% fat free cheese? It’s not like eating, oh, say, a good aged Cheddar but if you want something that tastes like cheddar and melts, it’s not that bad.)

Something to say?
